Quilt of Memories

It's finally done!!! My grandma Fulmer (Mom's side) has been working all year long on this quilt for me! Last year a few of the senior's had these blankets made from all their t-shirts from highschool. My mom thought it was a great idea so she asked my grandma to make me one. There are 36 t-shirts, from sports, school homecomings, powder puff football, one from Breckenridge, and one from Seward and one from when I was about 10 years old. :)

She is a wonderful job on it! The detail is just amazing! The top side--inbetween the squares--is pastel yellow which is the color of my room, and the trim and bottom side is light blue! She put a neat design around the outside which was done with a machine template, if you look closely you can see it. Then On the t-shirts she free-hand-traced around the objects on the t-shirt and which made a pretty cool design. I love it so much!
Thank you Grandma!
:)

Grad Nite

Saturday night was Grad Nite at Disney! Disney opened up Magic Kingdom for just seniors from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m! We were scheduled to leave at 2, but by 1 we were all exhausted so we started going on the slower, more relaxed rides, like It's a Small World (which has been a favorite of mine since I was verrryy little!) Peter Pan, and Dumbo! :) We had a great time walking around Disney and riding all the rides! But NO ONE would ride Splash Mountain with me!!!! I was so upset!!! Splash Mountain is my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom, but no one wanted to get wet! And because we weren't aloud to go anywhere alone I couldn't ride it [tear] :( Our Group that stayed together most of the night!
They had a HUGE fireworks display at 12 o'clock, but we only caught the tail-end of it because we were coming off the Haunted Mansion! But I heard they were spectacular!!!
It defiantly was a new experience being at Disney at 1 in the morning, but we had a great time. Unfortunately I left my camera in the car! grrrr So these pictures I've posted are from other people, so maybe when I get more I will post them!
Lindsey, Molly, and I... and Austin, who jumped in the picture, at 2:30 when we were leaving the park

To be or not to be, that is the question...

We've just finished up reading Shakespeare's Hamlet in English class. As a joke my teacher gave us this version of the book. It is something that teachers want to give elementary school kids to read so that they can be introduced to the great works of literature at a young age.... This is 100% serious.. It made me laugh so maybe it will make you laugh, too! Something else that made me laugh... whoever wrote this managed to condence all of Hamlet into this little story and I just read a 200 page book!
--------------------------------------------------------

See the man. What a funny man. His name is Hamlet. He is a prince. He is sad. Why are you sad, Hamlet?

"I am sad for my father has died" says Hamlet "My father was the king"

Where are you going, Hamlet?

"I am going to the Castle" says Hamlet

On the way he meets a ghost. "Where are you going?" asks the ghost

"I am going to the castle" says Hamlet

"Boo, Boo" says the ghost

"What is your name, you silly ghost?" Ask Hamlet clapping his hands.

"I am your father," says the ghost "I was a good king. Uncle Claudius is a bad king. He gave me poison. Would you like poison?"

"Oh, no" says Hamlet "I would not like poision."

"Will you avenge me, Hamlet?"says the ghost

"Oh yes" says Hamlet "I will avenge you. What fun it will be to avenge you."

On the way he meets a girl.

"where are you going? asks the girl.

I am going to the castle" says Hamlet

Ha, ha says the girl

What is your name? asks Hamlet.

My name is Ophelia says the girl

"Why are you laughing?" asks Hamlet "you are a silly goose."

"I laugh because you are so funny." says Ophelia. "I laugh because you are schizophrenic. Are you schizophrenic?"

"I am not schizophrenic" says Hamlet "I pretend to be schizophrenic. I pretend, for what to fool my uncle. What fun it is to pretend that I am schizophrenic."

See Hamlet run. Run, Hamlet, run.

He is going to his mothers room.

"Oh, I have something to tell you mother." says hamlet. "Uncle Claudius is bad. He gave my father poison. Poison is not good. I do not like poison. Do you like poison?"

"Oh, no indeed!" says his mother. "I do not like poison"

"Oh, there is uncle claudius," says Hamlet "He is hiding behind the curtin. Why is he hiding behind the curtain? I shall stab him. What fun it will be to stab him through the curtain."

Stab, Hamlet, Stab

See Uncle Claudius's blood gush.

Gush, blood, gush.

See Uncle Claudius fall. How funny he looks, stabbed.

Ha. Ha. Ha

But it is not Uncle Claudius.

It is Polonius. Polonius is Ophelia's father.

What fun Hamlet is having.

"You are naughty, Hamlet." says Hamlet's mother. "You have stabbed Polonius."

But Hamlet's mother is not cross. She loves Hamlet. He is a good boy.

And Hamlet loves his mother. She is a good mother. Hamlet loves his mother very much.

See Hamlet run. Run, Hamlet, run.

Where are you going Hamlet?

"I am going to find Uncle Claudius"

On the way he passes a brook. In the brook he sees Ophelia.

Ophelia is drowning.

"Where are you going?" asks the man

"I am going to find Uncle Claudius."

"oh! I am Laertes," says the man "Let us draw swords. Let us duel."

"I don't think I'm going to find Uncle Claudius." Says Hamlet

See Hamlet and Laertes Duel

See Hamlet stab Laertes.

See Hamlets mother drink poison

See Hamlet stab King Claudius

See everybody wounded and bleeding and dying and dead.

What fun they are having!

The end is near....

In case you were wondering... no I haven't graduated yet! :) But it is coming up very soon! We had pictures today in our caps and gowns. It was so weird to put them on because it made us realize that we don't have very much time left. We have 17 days of school left then... that's it... we are done with high school. And I haven't even decided where I am going to college yet, but I know the Lord is guiding me and will put me where He wants me to go! It is so sad, but at the same time it is really exciting! I am going to miss all the people in my class sooo much! We have so much fun. Everyday these past few weeks has been... interesting.. not what you would expect at school... Our work load has been decreased alot and so we have more time to have fun in classes! Like last week was Tierra's birthday and some one brought in cake and a pinata! haha We spend most of the class trying to break the thing open normally, but it just wouldn't break! We had been receiving complaints about our laughter and the noise we were making so we took it outside! Our plan was to drop it off the 2 story balcony to try and break it, but our teacher had a different idea. He brought the umbrella we were using inside to swing at it and said 'lets play baseball with it!' So we all lined up around him and watched him try and hit the pinata as it was tossed to him. Finally he hit it hard enough that it broke!

The picture is blurry because I froze it from a video that I took of it. It was so funny! Believe it or not, that is my teacher! Like I said... it's been interesting! :)

Anyways... 17 days left!!!

Softball

Today was our first round of districts for softball! And guess what..? WE WON... 12-2! :) It's very exciting because our team has never won the first round of districts before!
Tomorrow we play the number 1 ranked team in our district, Mount Dora Bible. They are really really good, but our coach says she has been having a dream all season that we would beat them! So... maybe her dream will come true :) I hope so!

Tomorrow night is also Senior Night. Before our game I'll have to run over to the baseball field where they will be honoring all the baseball seniors, and me--the only senior on my team :)

Senior Sidewalks

Today we made our Senior sidewalks! It is a tradition at our school for each Senior class to make sidewalks. We each get our own square to decorate it however we like! It was so much fun! It was much more challenging then I thought it would be! I started over at least 3 times! And seeing how I am not very artistically gifted, that wasn't a good thing!

Jaimie, Krystal, Tierra and I did our squares together.

After we finished our individual squares, we all had to sign a big one! One of the boys drew a class of '07 in the middle! And notice the '07 is made with hands! Isn't that cool!!!
My finished product

Here's a look at some other people's squares!

Friendship

~Real friendship looks at the heart, not just the "packaging."

~Genuine friendship loves for love's sake, not just for what it can get in return.

~True friendship is both challenging and exciting. It risks, it overlooks faults, and it loves unconditionally, but it also involves being truthful, even though it may hurt.

~True friendship is based on trust

~A true friend walks in, when the rest of the world walks out.

[All About God--True love and Friendship]

"Real friendship is a rare and precious gift, strong,
stable, yet fragile, and never to be taken for granted."
