A friend of the family put together the beautiful shower for my sister in law, Bethany and my soon to be little niece. It took place at a local coffee shop after hours. We all gathered, brought different snacky party foods, played games, and skyped with Dan, Bethany and Ruth out in Virginia. {Ruth has gone out to be with Bethany as extra hands during the last weeks of her pregnancy, as she is ready to POP any day now... hence the theme of the party. ;)} The decorations were absolutely darling! And as a surprise, the host mailed out a package with a few things they would need on their end, including an extra set of decorations so that it would match our side of the party. And everyone shipped out the gifts ahead of time so that we could enjoy watching Bethany open them.
Our Guests of Honor :)
Remember the Cake Dots? ^^ That's them! They were a hit!
One of the games we played included Dan. He had to answer a list of multiple choice questions relating to pregnancy, birth and random statistics and for each question he answer incorrectly, he had to put a piece of bubble gum in his mouth. He did fairly well, and only ended up with 6 pieces of gum. :)
Baby Beasley! :)
Smiling Aunties!
Another game. We all filled these out, and they will be mailed out to Dan and Bethany to read. Some did more than one and made them a little more humorous. :)
The last game we played. The host of the shower (who is also expecting) is a genius when it comes to all things baby. So she set up a fun little game where we had to guess what each of these unique baby items were. It was fun, and we all definitely learned a lot about baby items! Any guesses on what any of the pictured items are??! haha
Now you have all seen what a virtual baby shower is like... isn't it grand?! I am so thankful for today's technology allowing us to be able to see each other even when we are far apart! Now all we're waiting for is for little Baby B to make her debut and are all anxiously waiting for news that she has arrived! We can't wait to meet you, baby!

That's sweet.
Hey, in case you're ever interested, my sister found a really fun game on the internet that you can play at baby showers. (I would highly suggest using a baby doll!) You have to hold a "baby", hang as many clothes as you can on a clothes line, keep conversation on a phone (real or pretend, constantly talking),don't drop any clothes, and count all the hung clothes at the same time. Oh, and you've got to do as much as you can of it before the timer goes off! My sister and I tried it just for fun and practice and we had a blast!
