Go Big Red

Did you know there is a limit to how many pictures you can upload to a blog?? Well there is... and apparently I am at that limit. So if any of you have suggestions about what to do about this, pleaseeee enlighten me. So now you know why I have been silent for the past 2 months.
I managed to get 3 little pictures uploaded.. after trying multiple times over the past few weeks, for some reason it decided it would let me this time. psh who know's. Again... I am open to suggestions, advice or any little tid bits of info you'd like to give me.
In other news...For my birthday, Andrew took me to my first husker home game! I'm a big football fan, so it was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday.
A fun time was had by all. I mean, how could you not have fun?? I don't even remember the score, but the huskers won... a whole lot, to very little. It was such a fun birthday surprise!

Life has been so very busy-- irrigation season has gone later than planned because of this unusually warm November and December weather we've been having. So Andrew's schedule has been very full, and I have been working a couple days a week as well. We are looking forward to heading south in a couple weeks for Christmas. I hope you are all having a wonderfully, blessed Christmas season! :)

If you go to your Picasa records and go through your blog pics, there's usually a lot of duplicates that you can delete. But you'll probably eventually have to pay for more space; it's only about $3 a month for more than enough space. Hope this helps! I really like your blog. :)

That's sad! I hope you can figure out a way to get more pictures on! Sorry; no suggestions...
Football games are awesome! What a nice birthday surprise! BTW, Happy Birthday!!!!

Definitely check Picasa to see if there are any photos you can delete...otherwise the options are to pay for more space,or start a new blog on a different Google account. :)

That just happened recently on my blog too! So I opened a new account, changed the number on the end of my web address and started over. My 2nd blog looks the same, its just a different place for me! Its easy once you get used to a different login and password!

Someone posted this on someone else's blog "If you ran out of blogger storage and don't want to pay $30 (I sure didn't), you can check into Flickr or Photobucket to upload your photos, just by pasting the html into the body of your post."
I haven't had to try it(yet), so I don't know how it works. Hope this helps!

What I did to remedy this problem was create another google account with a different email address and then add myself to the administrator list so I can blog on my blog, only using a different account......make sense?

I had that problem with running out of storage space, too. The best solution I found was to pay an annual $5 to Google for basically unlimited storage each year. Once a year, I receive an email notifying me of my need to pay $5. To me, that is a very reasonable price in order to keep my blog in operation! I don't know if this option is still available to fellow bloggers, but it would be worth looking into!

Try reducing the "size" of your pictures (as in number of megapixels). I think there're programs you can purchase to do this but to keep from having to pay for that I kind of do it in a round-a-bout way: I email them to myself. When I emails pics, it asks me if I want to keep the original size or make pictures smaller. I select "make smaller", save them from the email and then upload them.
If you're taking most of your pictures with a digital camera you could also reduced the pixel size right on the camera.
When I started getting that message on my blog this fixed it and I haven't gotten that message again. Hope it helps :)

I have a wordpress blog but it has similar rules. If you upload a picture to a free photo sharing site like flickr, you can just put a link to it in your blog. It will still load the photo but it will require the reader of your blog to be able to connect to both your page and your flickr page (for example). It'll still look the same as long as you don't delete the flickr page. And it will cut down on the amount of space you use on blogger.

Hope that helps. All this computer stuff can be quite confusing!!

Hello Kori,
This just happened to one of my blogs. I was able to add "myself" as a new contributor under my settings tab, which allowed me, as a new writer on the blog, access to the same amount of GB picture space that I first started with. It worked really well. I did have to supply a new email address for this "new" contributor, but that was easy. The only problem now, is that I want to do the same thing on my other blog, and it won't let me for some reason, so I'll have to look into that. But this was by far, the easiest solution I had found. Hope that helps!
